Managing Through the Pandemic

David Meeker, Trophy Brewing, Carpenter Development

A Raleigh native, David Meeker helped found Trophy Brewing and Carpenter Development in 2008. He has made every mistake in the world, lived to tell about it, and has invaluable business experience because of that. David is on the Board of Common Cause, North Carolinians for Redistricting Reform, Raleigh Chamber, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Dix Park Conservancy, and Artspace. He is also actively involved with fundraising for Healing Transitions, a detox and recovery center on Dix Park. David lives in Downtown Raleigh with his wife and two boys, ages 1 and 3.

Trophy Brewing was looking forward to a great 2020, just finishing their State of Beer expansion and weeks away from their Trophy Brewing on Morgan Street expansion opening, when the Coronavirus hit.

Join us to hear how David is dealing with it all and his plan to come back from it.

Overflowing Hands Check Awarded
August 28, Charles and Eric met with Chandler and Lon Ellis of Overflowing Hands and Aaron McCauley of Rocky Top Catering to receive a tour of their facility, meet with their volunteers, and “present” a check to them from our Rotary Club for $800.

They came away impressed by the scope and professionalism of their operation. That day they were delivering over 3400 meals and 900 boxes of fresh produce to needy families throughout Wake County. By ensuring students have a filling high-protein meal they are helping them be ready to learn, especially in a difficult environment where most of them have to be schooling from home.
We were happy that through the generosity of our Rotarians who came through to purchase all of the Rotary masks we had available and then some we were able to contribute $800 toward this worthwhile effort. here
