WAKE COUNTY, N.C. -- A number of triangle dentists are working to help with dental hygiene. Wake Smiles on Capital Blvd. held an event on Saturday to honor Deah Barakat, his wife Yusor Abu-Salha and her sister Razan, the three Chapel Hill shooting victims.

Barakat was a dental student at UNC-Chapel Hill and Abu-Salha was expected to start taking classes in fall 2015.

Many dentists and their staff are working to help those who are in need of dental care.

This was not the only free dental care clinic that was held on Saturday.

There was an event in Cary at Cary Family Dental. At least the first 100 people who came to the event were served.

The Wake Smiles clinic ran until 3 p.m. and the Cary clinic ran until 5 p.m.

Both were on a first come, first serve basis.
