"UNC Physicians Assistant Program"
About the UNC PA Program:
The UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine is developing a new Physician Assistant (PA) Program which is scheduled to enroll the first class of students in 2016. The UNC PA program will build upon the highly specialized training of U.S. Army Special Forces Medical Sergeants to allow the transition of their unique skills and other medically trained veterans into civilian healthcare as they muster out of the military. The mission of the UNC PA program is to promote high-quality, accessible, patient-centered health care for the people of North Carolina and the nation through excellence in education, scholarship, and clinical service.
Dr. Jim Fulghum, who passed away last July, was interested and involved with the new Physician Assistant (PA) Program. His wife, Dr. Mary Susan Fulghum may attend this Rotary meeting.
