The Vocational Training Team is a new focus offered under the Future Vision Plan. It has similarities and differences from the traditional Rotary Group Study Exchange (GSE). There are two major goals for a vocational training team:
1) enhance their own vocational skills and/or provide professional training to others; and
2) provide sustainable measurable outcomes.
Rotary District 7710, in collaboration with Alzheimers North Carolina, will be hosting an Alzheimer’s Vocational Training Team from Brazil, November 1-15, 2014. The 15-member team, consisting of 13 Healthcare Professionals and 2 politicians from the Assis region in Brazil, will spend two weeks primarily in the Raleigh/Durham area, learning about Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias and care provided from a multi-disciplinary approach.
