"The Progressive Journey of a Remarkable Museum"

The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is the State’s most visited attraction, the largest institution of its type in the southeast U.S., and was recently adjudicated to be among the top twenty of the nation’s 17,500 museums for outstanding community service.
Emlyn is a geologist who after university and research agency appointments, became the CEO of four major science and natural history museums. Widely traveled and published, he is dedicated to engaging all stages of learning with the world of science and, in particular, to applying the toolkit of museums to the intensifying challenges and opportunities that surround societal innovation and environmental stewardship.
He was appointed a year ago to take the helm of the 135 year old North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
